Lydia Mouschounti & Fotis Kakkiou

Lydia & Fotis: A Dialogue in Dance

Lydia Moushoundi first established her foundation in classical and contemporary ballet. Her subsequent postgraduate specialization in Dance Therapy informs her unique teaching approach, allowing her to emphasize the therapeutic connection of movement and cater lessons to each student’s specific needs. For Lydia, tango is the purest form of expression and connection.

Fotis Kakkiou began his involvement with Tango in 2013, drawn in by the mystery and intimacy of the closed embrace. This initial intrigue led him to his first steps, and his journey on the dance floor has been continuous ever since.

Uniting in October 2016, Lydia and Fotis quickly established themselves as a dynamic partnership. They have since been dedicated to teaching and performing, conducting seminars and shows throughout Greece. Their partnership gained international recognition when they secured 3rd place in the Tango Stage category at the Pan-European Tango Championship in London in both 2022 and 2024. They continuously enhance their technique through training with world-renowned maestros.

For Lydia and Fotis, tango transcends mere steps; it is a profound way of communication—a dialogue between two people conversing through their arms.
